According to the North Dakota attorney general s office, Elkhatib and his companies call local businesses, falsely claim to represent a local high school and then ask for donations and sales claiming to benefit the school.

BISMARCK Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem has ordered a Fort Worth, Texas, outfit to stop doing business in North Dakota.
Stenehjem issued a cease-and-desist order Wednesday, Dec. 23, against Joseph Elkhatib and his business Sports Media Marketing for allegedly violating North Dakota’s charitable solicitation laws, consumer fraud law and do-not-call law.
