Actor LeVar Burton has not been shy about his desire to be host of the popular game show “Jeopardy!”.
He will get his chance although only as a guest host in the last slate for Season 37 announced by executive producer Mike Richards.
In addition to Burton, “Good Morning America” anchors Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos will guest host along with New York Times best-selling author David Faber and Joe Buck, a Sports Emmy-winning sportscaster and three-time recipient of the National Sportscaster of the Year award who is known for his NFL and MLB coverage on Fox network.

I mentioned on air yesterday that the one name thousands of Jeopardy fans say should be given a shot to be the new host is an actor who appeared in Roots, The Reading Rainbow and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
On Wednesday, the game show announced the next and final roster of guest hosts that will finish out the currently-airing Season 37, with Levar Burton, the
Reading Rainbow host and
Star Trek: The Next Generation actor s name on the list alongside Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, David Faber, and Joe Buck. Each guest host will have a several-episode-long stint.
