Limerick hurlers completed a notable double success at the RTÉ 2020 Sports Awards, as John Kiely was named Manager of the Year and Team of the Year went to his all-conquering side. The Galbally native guided the Treaty County to a remarkable All-Ireland SHC, Munster SHC and Allianz League treble in 2020. They won every single game last season, beating Waterford 0-30 to 0-19 to secure a second Liam MacCarthy Cup title in three years. The award winners were revealed at a special presentation televised on RTÉ One tonight, with champion boxer Katie Taylor named Sportsperson of the Year for a second time.
