Drapers visits Frasers Group’s new Frasers store concept in Wolverhampton just days before non-essential retail reopens on 12 April after the three-month long third national lockdown. Located at one end of the Mander Shopping Centre, the store’s sleek, white fresh façade stands out from the surrounding shops, whose lights remain dimmed for another few days.
The 60,000 sq ft store, spanning three floors, is the first Frasers multi-brand store concept, and houses to the Frasers, Flannels and Sports Direct fascias. Several former House of Fraser stores, including those in Belfast and Rushden Lakes in Northampton, have been converted into Frasers stores since Sports Direct International bought the department store chain out of administration in 2018.
