There is protest ongoing at the Plateau State University, Bokkos, following the raping of four female students of the University, on Monday night.
The students who are residing off campus were said to have been abducted by unknown gunmen, raped and dumped in the bush, late Monday night.
The peaceful protest is said to have stalled academic activities in the institution.
A male student residing in the area was shot, and was left injured.
“This is becoming a worrying issue, because more than 90% of the students of the institution reside off campus, because of lack of enough hostel accommodation in the school”, the source decried.

Bandits, on Wednesday night, attacked the residence of a former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Damishi Tongson Sango, in Plateau State.
It was gathered that the assailants attacked his residence located at Danwal, Ganawuri, in Riyom Local Government Area around 9:00 pm.
According to reports, two security details and a boy were shot during the attack and their rifles were carted away.
Confirming the incident, the Spokesman of the Plateau State Police Command, ASP. Gabriel Ubah, said:
“The Command is aware of the incident at Riyom and the victims have been rushed to the hospital where they are receiving treatment.
