Not what you think May 10, 2021 by srose When I saw the headline about most aggressive dog breeds I just knew Pitbull was going to be number one.  Not that I agree…  we have Honey at home after rescuing her from an animal shelter in Atlanta.  She is the sweetest, most well behaved dog you have ever seen…and did I mention cute!!!!  So I’m not trying to give anyone else a bad rap, just wanted to point out that science says pits are not the most aggressive dogs.  Here is the top 10 list… (I don’t even know what number 6 is)

Scientists reveal the most AGGRESSIVE breeds - with Long-Haired Collies at the top of the list

Smaller, older and male dogs are more likely to be aggressive and growl, snap and bark at humans, a study has found.  Some breeds are also more likely than others to exhibit aggressive behaviour, with Long-Haired Collies, like Lassie, the most aggressive of all breeds.  In contrast, Labradors and Golden Retrievers, beloved for their docile temperament and gentle nature, were found by scientists to be the least aggressive breeds.  When comparing the Rough Collie (left) with the Labrador (right) the researchers found the former is 5.44 times more likely to be aggressive What dog breeds are the most aggressive?   The below list was compiled by researchers from helsinki who studied the behaviour of more than 9,000 et dogs.
