A banned drink-driver has been jailed for 18 weeks because of his history of offending. Neil Aston Beckford, aged 50, of Brandhall Court, Oldbury, admitted driving a silver Audi in Pound Road while over the limit. He also admitted driving whole disqualified and without insurance. He was ordered to pay £257 in costs. Other recent cases at the local magistrates courts include: An Oldbury teenager who breached a probation order by texting an abusive message has been fined £80 and ordered to pay £60 costs. Cain Joseph Keith-Alan Lees, aged 19, of Brennand Road, Brandhall, admitted the breach. A Stourbridge woman who discarded a cigarette in High Street must pay £482 in fines and costs for littering. A Dudley man has been given a suspended jailed sentence for racially abusing three police officers. Mohammed Amin Salim, aged 32, of Blackacre Road, admitted three racially aggravated charges and was sentenced to a total of 40 weeks in jail, suspended for 18 months.
