Residents and businesses are being asked to comment on the Strategic Regeneration Framework for Leigh town centre. The Framework is a project for the town setting out the roadmap to a new and varied offer that attracts investment, improves experience and provides opportunities for local people and businesses. The plan will bolster the projects being delivered as part of the £5m Believe in Leigh fund and will help to secure further funding for the town. The consultation will run for six weeks from Monday, February 8 to Friday, March 19. Deputy leader of the council and Leigh East ward councillor, Keith Cunliffe said: “The success of our town centres is a vital priority for both the council and residents and the COVID-19 pandemic has only emphasised this.
