Law enforcement in Pulaski County investigated 10 homicides in July, making the month deadlier than last July, when eight deaths were reported in the midst of a year marked by historically high numbers of killings, but not as dangerous as July 2021, when 12 people lost their lives, data showed.
A Little Rock man charged in a fatal shooting on the Fourth of July at a Baseline Road apartment complex told police that the killing followed a heated argument over fireworks, according to a document written by a police detective.
