Grand Rapids launches free pass with Spin for residents facing mobility barriers

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. â The City of Grand Rapids is partnering with micromibility partner Spin to launch the Spin Community Pass.
Designed for residents in need, the pass allows residents to take up to five 30-minute scooter rides every day over the course of three months, according to a news release Tuesday.
This pilot program â funded by the city â provides up to 650 passes to Grand Rapids residents who face transportation barriers, such as limited incomes and credit card or smartphone access, and need more options.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI E-bikes are finally coming to Grand Rapids streets, and likely just in time for summer.
City staff announced Tuesday, April 13, the electrically-assisted bikes, as well as more stand-up scooters, should be available to ride tentatively in May or June as part of the city’s micromobility pilot.
The roll-out hinges on city commissioners approving an operating agreement in the coming weeks with Lime, a popular micromobility company based in California.
