spill site this weekend and make landfall on the gulf coast sunday. bonnie is no longer considered a threat to the well and could even help to break up some of the oil in the water. although it could also push the oil further into the gulf coast marshes and wetlands. onshore, transocean whistle-blower mike williams testified today about new details of the deadly explosion on april 20th. among them, alarm systems routinely shut down, including at the time of the blast. williams claimed a system to isolate well gas from ignition sources had also been turned off, and that he was reprimanded for questioning the system which was, of course, designed to save lives. bp, meanwhile, removed another photo from its website today after gizmodo revealed the photo had been photo shopped to make it appear that a helicopter was flying and that the water was bluer than it really was.
