Elli Wiemers, a beloved staff member with the Spencer Community School District, passed away Friday, Dec. 22, after a battle with cancer.
During her 35 years in the district, Wiemers served as a math teacher, instructional coach, high school principal, and central office administrator. In her last three years in Spencer Schools, she was director of school improvement and director of student services.
