TWRA Assisting Sheriff s Office With Investigation Of Human Remains Found In Blount County With Black Bears Present Tuesday, May 4, 2021
TWRA is assisting the Blount County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation involving human remains located with black bears present in the area. Investigators say they do not believe that bears caused the death of the victim.
Last Friday evening, the body of 46-year-old Spence Andrew Webb was found by a member of the Blount County Special Operations Response Team in a heavily wooded area off Fence Rail Gap Road. in Walland. Mr. Webb had been missing since April 12 and an unoccupied truck that he had been driving had been located in the area.

BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. The Blount County Sheriff s Office said that they were searching for a missing man Thursday evening, after finding a truck with his wallet and other personal items in it.
They said that Spence Andrew Webb, 46, borrowed his father s truck on April 11 and was supposed to return it the same day. It was not returned, and the next day his father texted him. According to a release from officials, he told his father he was returning the truck.
