welcome back to way too early. it s 5:30 a.m. here on the east coast. 2:30 out west. i m jonathan lemire. thank you for being with us. president biden is set to address the united nations general assembly in new york city this morning. in a speech biden is expected to highlight russia s aggression in ukraine and call on world leaders to stand together against vladimir putin. according to the white house, biden will also discuss global food security, supply chain issues and the climate crisis. due to the pandemic, this is the first time in three years that world leaders have gathered in person for the annual meeting that kicked off earlier this week. volodymyr zelenskyy is also scheduled to address the assembly today with a prerecorded video message. joining us now, white house correspondent for reuters jeff mason. good morning, thank you for being here. this speech now comes against the backdrop of the news overnight from mocow that putin is mobilizing up to 300,000
