Police have identified the suspects in that shooting in San Bernadino. One is a man named syed farook, a county employee. The other, his wife or girlfriend, is Tashfeen Malik. Both were killed in a shootout with police. They led authorities on a chase in a black suv. The director of the Islamic Group in the area says the couple left their 6monthold daughter with her grandmother on wednesday morning. Now, the grandmother had not heard from the couple and was concerned when she saw the reports of the shooting on tv. Earlier in the day, police say farook and malik opened fire at a Holiday Party. 14 people were killed and 17 others were wounded. Lets bring in cnns john voss, who is live for us this morning in redlands, outside the gunmans home. So, what exactly are they doing there at this hour . Are they still out there . Are they still going through that location . Reporter well, michelle, they had been going through the house, that operation has been put on hold. Were expecting that operation to resume any moment now. The timing of that is not entirely clear. What theyre doing is taking their time. We have been told that residents around here have essential ly been told to stay indoors. Many residents have been evacuated. The reason why we saw the bomb squad sending in that robotic device to try to look for explosives is for the concerns, this house, this town home, may be rigged with explosives or bobby trapz.
