The Madras High Court on Tuesday dismissed a plea seeking directions to the Election Commission to make arrangements for conducting special polling for those persons whose names were left out from.
The outer Manipur parliamentary seat will go to polls on Friday, with 529 Internally Displaced Voters exercising their franchise in nine special polling stations. Around 87 companies of CAPF and 4000 state armed personnel will be deployed in the polling stations. Thirteen Assembly Segments of Outer Manipur will go for polls on April 26.
