Join the Baxter County Library for a Virtual Area Author Showcase on Saturday, March 6, at 10:30 a.m. Four featured authors will take turns talking about their latest work. Featured authors include Petra Szmykowski-Britton; Cecelia Wilson; Larry D. Butler, PhD; and Rhona Weaver. Author Petra Szmykowski-Britton will share about the book Florian the Fly Flies to Florida. In his very first adventure, Florian the Fly starts out being quite unhappy. The weather this summer in Germany is cold and wet, and considering that his lifespan is only 4 weeks, he seeks to find a place that is warm and sunny. With the help of an unlikely ally, he manages to accompany triplet girls on a flight to see their aunt in Florida. There he makes new friends, learns English, and discovers his new purpose in life.
