Derek Chauvin trial: Pills found in vehicles contained meth, fentanyl

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The state called witnesses and experts to the stand Wednesday to testify in the trial of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer charged in the death of George Floyd.
Chauvin is charged with third-degree murder, second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in Floyd’s death last May. The trial is being broadcast live, gavel to gavel, on FOX 9 and streaming live at fox9.com/live.
Here are the witnesses who testified on Wednesday:
Sgt. Jody Stiger, the prosecution s use of force expert who works for the Los Angeles Police Department. He testified about the police tactics surrounding Floyd s deadly arrest.

Senior Special Agent James Reyerson of Minnesota s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is testifying in the murder trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, in last May s death of George Floyd.
The BCA routinely investigates police use-of-force incidents in Minnesota. Chauvin is facing charges of second- and third-degree murder as well as manslaughter. Video footage from the scene showed Chauvin pressed his knee on Floyd s neck area for more than nine minutes.

Susan Neith, a forensic chemist with NMS Labs in Pennsylvania, was called to the stand to testify and prosecutor Erin Eldridge began questioning her.
Eldridge Did you receive 3 pills from the BCA to perform testing on?

Item 48 Neith says, in both of those cases the fentanyl concentration was less than 1% , says meth about 1-2% depending on pill.
