Speaker Pro Tem Patrick McHenry ordered Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi to vacate her Capitol hideaway office so he could take it over, just hours after becoming acting Speaker, Pelosi’s office said Tuesday.
Pelosi said the new acting speaker, Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., was behind an email asking her staff to remove their belongings from a workspace she had access to as a former speaker.
