Hundreds of excited East Londoners flocked to the beachfront in Quigney to take part in the SPAR Daily Dispatch Fun Run on Sunday morning. More than 600 participants left the starting line just after 9am, with the first runner finishing just 13 minutes after running the 4km route. After Friday and Saturday’s gloomy weather, the skies cleared up and the sun shone on Sunday, giving the athletes the perfect weather for their run.
The glorious views and bracing sea air of East London's famed Esplanade will welcome hundreds of runners and walkers at the annual Spar Daily Dispatch fun run on Sunday, October 8, kicking off at the Orient Beach swimming pools.
Entries are open for the SPAR Daily Dispatch Fun Run which takes place on October 8, 2023. The event hosts a 4km and 8km route both starting and finishing at the Orient Pools, East London. Entries close on October 2, 2023 This meaningful run aims to show support for individuals with disabilities.
The daily challenges for people living with disabilities may include tasks as simple as reaching for groceries on the top shelf in the supermarket, but SPAR is determined to create awareness of its Wheelchair Wednesday initiative.
There are just six days left to enter the annual SPAR Daily Dispatch 2022 Fun Run. Families or friends are invited to run or walk from the Orient pools at 9am on Sunday October 16. The official beneficiary of the SPAR Daily Dispatch Fun Run is the Sweethearts Foundation, which donates wheelchairs to disabled people in East London.
