Koke has signed a new one-year contract at Atletico Madrid. The 32-year-old's current deal had been due to expire at the end of this season, but he has committed his future to the La Liga club. Atletico said in a statement that "our captain perfectly represents everything an Atleti child wants to be when he grows up".Koke has been at Atletico for his entire career and has gone on to make a total of 626 appearances. He has also been capped 70 times by Spain.He has won two league titles, two Europa League trophies, two Super Cups, two Spanish Super Cups and one Copa del Rey. He has also been a Champions League runner-up on two occasions.This season, he has featured in 39 appearances across all competitions, assisting five times.
