Developing news to the east bay where one person is dead after a Police Pursuit ended in a crash near the san Leandro Oakland border. It happened before 9 00 last night. Police say a man suspected of a robbery got into a vehicle and took off. Officers spotted the vehicle a short time later when it crashed interest a building on san leandro street. The man and a passenger were thrown from the car and the woman died at the scene. Seven people are dead and at least seven other injured in a driveby shooting in Santa Barbara. It happened in island vista near the Santa Barbara campus. The Santa Barbara county sheriff said one of the dead is the attacker who was driving a vehicle. He exchanged gunfire with deputies before crashing into a parked castro valley. It was not clear if he was shot by deputies or if his wounds were selfinflicted. A second suspect is detained.
