Pierce County Executive Bruce Dammeier wants a regional approach to stopping street racing from “escalating pretty dramatically.” On a typical weekend, hundreds of cars and spectators will gather across industrial areas and warehouse parking lots Puget Sound to watch cars do “doughnuts,” and “burnouts,” race at high speeds down city streets, and perform “sideshows,” which are car stunts.
