India News: Pixxel, a spacetech startup, has opened a new satellite manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. The facility consolidates all satellite manufacturing services under one roof and is equipped to handle more than 20 satellites simultaneously.
Spacetech startup Pixxel inaugurated its new assembly, integration, and testing facility in Bengaluru. The facility, built in northern Bengaluru, consists of a clean room and testing area spread over 20,000 square feet.
“The facility is designed for the company s own internal manufacturing. It has been built to ensure that at least for the next two years, Pixxel can integrate and test all its satellites like the Fireflies constellation set to launch in June and October this year in two installments, and the Honeybees constellation in 2025,” Ahmed told ET.
Pixxel: In a keynote speech, Somanath said that the facility reminded him of his early days building the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) for ISRO years ago.
Spacetech Startup: Bellatrix achieved a significant milestone with the launch of its propulsion systems – Rudra and Arka – on board the national space agency’s PSLV C-58 launch vehicle on January 1. This gives the company its first space qualification.
