The deadline to apply for the Red Sox’s scholarship program for the spring of 2021 is March 12 at 11:59 p.m. One student from each of the 14 public high schools in Lee County will be awarded a scholarship. Funds are raised annually from proceeds of the Red Sox annual Swings for the Sox Golf Tournament. “Despite COVID, we were really pleased that our ninth annual Swings for the Sox golf tournament was once again a huge success in our efforts to raise more money for these scholarships,” said Brennan Whitley, senior manager Florida business operations for the Boston Red Sox.
