Users Amazon s Lord Of The Rings TV Show Adds New Director Who Worked On The Witcher Charlotte BrÃ¤ndstrÃ¶m directed multiple episodes of The Witcher, and now she s taking on The Lord of the Rings. Amazon Studios has announced that director Charlotte BrÃ¤ndstrÃ¶m has come aboard the Lord of the Rings TV show to be part of the creative team for the fantasy program. BrÃ¤ndstrÃ¶m will direct two episodes of the show. The other Season 1 directors include JA Bayona (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) and Wayne Che Yip (Doctor Who). It remains to be seen if there will be other directors for the first season, which is currently filming in New Zealand.

A Soviet adaptation of The Lord of the Rings once thought to have been lost for good was posted on YouTube last week to the delight of fans worldwide. The film was originally aired in 1991 on the Leningrad Television Network and is believed to have been the only version of Tolkein’s beloved tale made in the Soviet Union. After Leningrad TV’s successor 5TV discovered the film in an archive, it posted the entire thing on YouTube in two parts part 1 is available here and part 2 right here.
