An Archer man with the license tag TYRANT, who is accused of slamming a 69-year-old man onto the road after forcing a traffic stop, was arrested Wednesday following an investigation by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office.
Kevin Kortright, 44, 13619 SW 69th Terrace, was charged with battery on a person age 65 or older, a warrant affidavit states.
The incident occurred about 1 p.m. on Oct. 16 in the 6300 block of Southwest Williston Road. The man and his wife were driving behind a car that was braking and accelerating rapidly, the warrant states.
Kortright is suspected of stopping in the middle of the road, getting out of his car and approaching the man, who got out of his car.
