Tara Barney and Greg Wathen Special to the Courier & Press When beginning to form the new partnership among the Southwest Indiana Chamber, the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville, and the Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana, we recognized that we have a bold vision for the future of our Region. The newly formed Evansville Regional Economic Partnership (E-REP) has established core Guiding Principles to inform this vision for our collective future; specifically, our commitment to make the Evansville region the location of choice for talent and business. Over the next several months, we will explore how E-REP’s Guiding Principles are woven into both the plan of work that you have come to know and the opportunities before us to further strengthen our region and our shared future.

E-REP makes official debut, announces board of directors

EVANSVILLE, Ind. Evansville s new business advocacy and economic development organization made its official debut Thursday. The Evansville Regional Economic Partnership was created by a merger of the Southwest Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana and Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville. Co-CEOs are Tara Barney, formerly with the Chamber, and Greg Wathen, formerly of the Economic Development Coalition. Its office is at Innovation Pointe, 318 Main St. The group s activities will focus on Vanderburgh, Gibson, Posey and Warrick counties. E-REP s goals include new business attraction, business retention, existing industry expansions, advancing pro-economy public policies, community development, entrepreneurship, talent attraction, quality of place enhancement and strategies for regional growth.
