It’s a year into the pandemic, and you’re probably hungry for something new to do.   Here’s one idea: Real people telling true stories about growing up some of them funny, some poignant and some downright heartbreaking. Those stories will be streamed live for a new, Florida-wide version of the Southwest Florida Storytellers Project. “It’s been a whole year. You’re probably caught up on Netflix,” says Megan Finnerty, founder of the national Storytellers Project program. “This is real people, and it is authentic.” Five storytellers are lined up for “Growing Up,  the first event of the season for the Southwest Florida Storytellers Project rebranded the Florida Storytellers Project for its first virtual season. More events are planned for 2021 (see below).
