Advisory board receives update on Southwest Cherokee Parks and Trails plan

As the Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency continues to move forward with its development of the Southwest Cherokee Parks and Trails plan, the CRPA Advisory Board heard the latest updates on the plan at its most recent meeting. Community Services Agency Director Bryan Reynolds said there are four parcels of land being considered as part of the plan, three of which are owned by a family and the fourth being under control of the Cherokee County School District. Three of the four pieces of property are located south of Ga. Highway 92 in the vicinity of Clark Creek Elementary School, while the fourth is located at the intersection of Old Alabama Highway and Kellogg Creek Road. As part of the study, Reynolds said participants had the ability to share their thoughts on what they would like to see be developed in the area.
