The bats were hot early and often for the Brookland Lady Bearcats on Thursday afternoon in the opening round of the 4A-East Regional softball tournament at Joe T. Robinson in Little Rock.
Southside Batesville last hosted the Class 4A baseball state tournament in 2019, but the Southerners weren t actually participants. In fact, the last time they played in a state tournament was in 2018.
