Sammy-Jo and Candice Chmieluk were drinking at the Currumbin surf club on May 29, 2016 when Candice got behind the wheel of her Dodge 4WD about 5.30pm on a suspended driver s licence. The car hit a pole on Thrower Dr, Palm Beach with such force it split in two and debris flew 110m. The car turned into a flaming wreck. Sammy-Jo, 24, was killed instantly. Subscriber only The mother of a football cheerleader who fell to her death from a Gold Coast high-rise has told a court of their relationship breakdown once she started dating the man accused of throwing her to her death. Breeana Robinson died in January 2013 after falling from the 11th floor of the H2O apartment tower in Southport. Her boyfriend Dan Shearin, now known as Jayden Moorea, is now facing a murder hearing.

Subscriber only A notorious former Gold Coast Bandido is recovering in hospital after coming under fire from a sniper who shot and killed his girlfriend s stepfather as they watched the drag racing. Ricky Steven Chapman, who was charged over the infamous 2013 Broadbeach brawl, was one of three people shot at the Perth Motorplex track on Saturday night in front of families and children. One of those - Rebels bikie boss Nick Martin - was fatally wounded and died soon after being rushed to hospital. Both Chapman and a five-year-old boy were wounded. The little boy s wound did not require medical attention.
