Officers responded around 10 p.m. on Thursday, April 15. In the release, Mitchell said a 21-year-old man was found at the scene with a single gunshot wound and was taken to a local hospital for surgery. An 18-year-old man suffered from multiple gunshot wounds. Police said they found him left by a car at a hospital emergency room. Mitchell said both victims are in serious condition. Fort Smith Police detectives are interviewing witnesses.

FORT SMITH, Ark. Fort Smith Police responded to a shooting at an apartment complex in the 4600 block of South P Street last night (April 10) at around 10 p.m.
When police arrived, a 21-year-old male was found with a single gunshot wound and was taken to a local hospital for surgery.
While en route, police were notified of another gunshot victim who was dropped off at local hospital emergency room by a private vehicle.
The victim was an 18-year-old male and sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Police say both victims remain in serious condition.

Jan. 30 Tamia Lee and her grandmother Brenda Mendoza had already picked up McDonald’s food to-go Friday when they spotted the Fair Food Drive-Thru across from the Kern County Fairgrounds.
They immediately decided the McBurgers would have to wait as they pulled into the sprawling parking lot on South P Street and, without even getting out of their car, began ordering caramel corn, tacos and the sort of crazy desserts one expects to find at the Kern County Fair.
“I didn’t know anything about it,” the 17-year-old said of the fair food festival. “But my grandma said, ‘Oh, let’s get some funnel cake. ”
