A 21-year-old Texas college student has been missing for seven days after crashing his car on the way home for Christmas break.
Jason Landry, 21, was due to make a 165-mile journey from Texas State University to his hometown of Missouri City, outside Houston, on December 14, when he disappeared.

A Texas college student on his way home for Christmas break went missing last week after crashing his car on a secluded road, authorities said.
Jason Landry, 21, was on his way home to Missouri City from Texas State University on Dec. 14 when he disappeared after having a one-car crash on a backroad in Caldwell County, Texas EquuSearch said in a news release.
Troopers found Landry’s vehicle in the remote area near the city of Luling, about 30 minutes from the university’s campus in San Marcos, but there was no sign of the college student, FOX7 Austin reported. Troopers found the his cellphone and wallet in and around the car along with other personal items.

LULING, Texas - Nearly one week after his disappearance, the search for 21-year-old Texas State student Jason Landry continued Saturday.
Assisted by Texas Search and Rescue, deputies with Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office combed through a rural area of the county near Luling. They had planes, horses, search teams, dogs, explained Jason Landry’s father, Kent Landry.

The 21-year-old was headed home to Missouri City near Houston in the early hours on Monday (Dec. 14) when he crashed his Nissan Altima on Salt Flat Road in a rural area about 10 minutes from downtown Luling - which is about 30 minutes outside of San Marcos.
Texas DPS officials say they believe Jason was able to get out of his vehicle after the wreck, but it is unclear where he went after that. His wallet, phone, and keys were found inside his wrecked car.
