Nativities and the usual festive traditions have been slightly different this year because of the pandemic. At Cheselbourne School near Dorchester as youngsters couldn’t do a ‘live’ show they headed to a local farm and filmed our own version of the nativity there. At Greenford School in Maiden Newton pupils staged their play outside in a covered area in the field. Two shows were put on as an outside performance. Southill Primary School in Weymouth celebrated the run up to Christmas in very different style. Pupils created 12 small performances for a virtual advent calendar. The calendar was launched at the start of December with an advent message from Rev Jo Haine, the local vicar.
