LANXESS workers on Monday cleaned up Southfield Cutoff as part of the Union County Adopt-A-Road program. LANXESS will take responsibility for keeping Southfield Cutoff, where the company s South plant is located, clean of litter. "I think it s a great thing that Ms. Phena Loftin is starting with the county judge," said Mark Day, public relations and land manager for LANXESS. "Our county roads are travelled every day. Sometimes people use county roads to throw out their trash, which is not the thing to do, so this is a great opportunity to keep the community clean."
