LANSING — Pending bills in Michigan’s Senate would boost state funding to townships, allowing them to pay for services they otherwise couldn’t afford, advocates say.
The Southfield City Council recently selected Yolanda Haynes to fill the seat vacated by former Councilwoman Linnie Taylor, who was appointed to the Oakland County Commission.
