This fire started yesterday around this time and is burning near the mansions in bel air. A neighborhood that has not seen a major fire since 1961 one 500 homes burned. This time, four homes have been destroyed. 700 homes and apartment buildings and a school in West Los Angeles have been evacuated. Officials cannot say how many people have been affected. The creek fire in Los Angeles County has burned about 20 square miles. 150,000 people have been ordered to leave their homes. Four buildings have been destroyed and 2500 homes and businesses are threatened because the wind has been pushing the flames and carrying the embers into the hills where they set new fires.
