The suit says the employee shouldn t have been able to buy a shotgun from the store where he worked.
The suit accused Mace s manager of knowing the employee had said he wanted to kill himself.
The family of a Walmart worker who killed himself at the end of 2019 has filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against the retail giant.
The lawsuit said the worker, Jacob Mace, had recently told a Walmart colleague he was having suicidal thoughts. His family added in the lawsuit, filed Tuesday and first reported by NBC News, that Mace s manager was aware of the conversation but Mace was still able to buy a shotgun from the southern Maryland Walmart store where he worked.
