CARBONDALE, Ill. – The Southern Illinois University track and field program under the direction of
Rosalind Joseph announced the addition of Elisia Lancaster, a mid-year transfer thrower from Towson University to the 2020-21 roster.
“I’m excited to add Elisia Lancaster to the Southern Illinois Track & Field family,” said Joseph. “Elisia will be a great addition to our program as we continue to put the pieces together to compete for a Missouri Valley Conference championship.”
A native of Glassboro, New Jersey, Lancaster competed in eight meets during the 2019-20 indoor season, including the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, where she placed second in the weight throw with a mark of 19.67m (64-6.5). In total, Lancaster placed in the top-five of the weight throw and shot put at six of the eight meets she participated in.
