Engineers are working to rebuild the entrance to Wadhurst tunnel to reduce the risk of landslips.
On Monday, Network Rail are closing the London to Hastings line from Robertsbridge through to Tonbridge as engineers tackle earthwork repairs.

A potential landslip at the southern end of Wadhurst Tunnel was picked up by early warning alarms in December, and the railway was protected immediately with temporary measures. A team had been mobilised to repair it, along with several other defects, over the course of this year.

A railway line between Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge will be closed for another two weeks while engineers carry out emergency landslip repairs, Network Rail has announced.

A full closure was put in place which they expected to last until February 2, but now engineers say more work is needed to permanently fix and protect the 150 metre stretch.
The line will now re-open on Saturday, February 20.
Fiona Taylor, Network Rail Route Director for Kent, said: âIâm so sorry weâre having to put passengers in this position.
Dartford train services affected by engineering works at Slade Green this weekend

Rail users are being advised to check before they travel in the Dartford area as work to replace the track and points at Slade Green junction, up the line towards London, starts this weekend.
The £4.5 million project will reduce faults and delays at the heavily used junction, where lines from South East London and Greenwich meet each other on their way to Dartford and into Kent.
