UPDATE: Roger Self will return to the stand Friday for more cross-examination from the District Attorney s Office. The case will likely conclude around noon Friday.
Roger Self spoke on his own behalf Thursday afternoon to try and convince a judge his killing of two loved ones in 2018 doesn t warrant him spending the rest of his life in prison.
While Self doesn t face a life sentence, at age 65 a sentence much beyond a minimum prison range of 12 years would likely mean he would remain in prison for as long as he lives. He could face a maximum of about 70 years, according to his defense attorney, Rick Beam.
