isolated showers developing as the temperatures rise, particularly through central and northern parts of the country. we ve got high pressure to the east of us, low pressure to the west. this run of southeasterly winds. this area of low pressure in the north sea has brought cloud here and a weather front out west has also brought a bit more cloud, one or two showers certainly through the morning time, but towards the latter part of the day, we will start to see breaks developing in that cloud. there will still be the odd shower dotted around here or there, but most places dry. plenty of sunshine, particularly across the south and across northern and eastern areas. after that chilly start, temperatures will reach the low to mid teens for many, but we could see 17 or 18 in the north or the west of london. now as we move through this evening and overnight, we hold onto one or two showers around, central or northern areas, a few also pushing into southern parts of england. but most places
is southeasterly winds with possible showers and visibility of 3 to 5 kilometers. i m now happy to take your questions. aside from the bluefin-21, will you be deploying any other underwater vehicles or is that the only asset that you re going to use right now? that s the only asset that is available now and i would stress again, the capability required is to be able to go down to 4,500 meters and this vehicle is limited once the water gets deeper than that. so we would have to get another vehicle if the water were to be deeper still. but at the moment, it looks like the bluefin-21 is more than adequate for the task. yes? do you know how large this
let me show you the latest forecast models. i don t want you to get freaked out about this just yet. we re seeing a trending to the border of mexico and texas. so we don t want to rule out a u.s. landfall just yet. as it gets back out over the open water, once it stops interacting with land and we get a better, stronger circulation, we ll have a much better idea where it goes. because sometimes when they get back over water they ll reform their center of circulation. if it happens farther north. we ll see more of this trending. happens farther south, we ll be watching mexico. right now our best estimate is it will stay away from the oil spill. but if heads back up to texas it will bring in the strong easterly to southeasterly winds and it could push the oil back to the west. thanks so much, jackie. meantime, chris lawrence is in the gulf where the storm has
sea with that oil spewing from a broken pipe. bp finally released this video after pressure from the white house and news operations. the slick is still sitting there in the gulf. noaa says southeasterly winds could push the oil closer to the mississippi delta. our nbc news correspondent is in dauphin island, alabama. reporter: right now, there s still petroleum to see if there are any more datar balls. those didn t test positive as relating to the oil spill. all eyes right now are off the coast of louisiana at that spill point as you had mentioned. the company, bp, is now trying to lower and maneuver that top hat dome on top of that oil leak and that is going to be a smaller dome than the copper dome they tried to use.
