JEFFERSON COUNTY, Wis. Wisconsin roads are expected to be very busy all weekend long as people gear up for Fourth of July travel.
AAA predicts more than 900,000 Wisconsinites will take to the highways this weekend, up nearly 30% compared to last year. Throughout the day Friday, travelers could be seen towing boats and traveling with families along I-94. Drake Menzia was among them, stopping in Johnson Creek with his wife and two young children.
“We try to make stops like this to make sure they are happy and just hope they don’t cry in the car,” said Menzia as he prepared to return to the highway.
