STUART A woman accused of crashing into a vehicle on U.S. 1 before driving away and crashing into a second vehicle while impaired was arrested, an affidavit states.
Bailey Christine Spitz, 34, of the 5400 block of Southeast Graham Drive in Stuart, was jailed on two counts of DUI property damage and single counts each of leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and driving with an expired license.
Stuart police went to the area of U.S. 1 and Southeast Monterey Road about 7:45 p.m. Monday regarding a hit-and-run crash.
According to statements in the affidavit, a man said he was stopped at a red light in a southbound lane of U.S. 1 at Southeast Monterey Road. He said Spitz’s vehicle crashed into the back of his truck.
