In the whiplash of learning her son was fatally shot last Sunday in Southeast Portland, then finding out the next day his suspected killer was shot and killed by police, Lorri Freeman said she’s left with painful questions that may never be answered.
Portland police identified Ricco Giles, 36, of Portland as the man fatally shot outside a bar in Southeast Portland’s Foster-Powell neighborhood on March 23.
Officers responded Sunday morning to a reported shooting inside a business on Southeast Foster Road in Portland and found a person who had been killed.
