Child struck and killed by vehicle in San Jose, driver cooperating with investigators

The accident happened about 5:10 p.m. Friday. Police say the driver is cooperating with investigators.
SAN JOSE, Calif. - A child that was struck by a vehicle in San Jose Friday evening has died from their injuries, police announced Friday night.
The accident happened in the area of Camden Avenue and Kooser Road around 5:40 p.m.
Police say the child was immediately taken to a nearby hospital with life threatening injuries. Within three hours, police said the child had passed away.
Police say the driver of the vehicle that struck the child stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The driver was not believed to be impaired on drugs or alcohol, police said.
