Police investigate Town Quay crash in Southampton

1/1 A PROBE into a traffic collision which saw a police van flip on its side in Southampton city centre is ongoing, Police are continuing to investigate a crash on Town Quay which left two officers injured. They were both pulled from their vehicle after it collided with a white Nissan van on Town Quay. One officer needed hospital treatment while the other was treated at the scene by paramedics. Town Quay was blocked off as was part of Southampton High Street on April 27. Police have since revealed that their investigation is ongoing and there are no updates at present. It had reportedly been travelling west along Town Quay and had turned right into the High Street. And the Nissan van had been going east along Town Quay. According to South Central Ambulance Service, one of the officers in the vehicle was taken to University Hospital Southampton for “further assessment and treatment”. Southampton charity, No Limits warns cuts to services mean more young people will end up in crisis

MORE young people will end up in crisis without funding to youth services, warns a Southampton-based charity. Youth services in England have had local authority funding slashed by 73 per cent in less than a decade, according to the YMCA. They have lost almost a billion pounds - £958.72 million - during this time, based on Department for Education figures on council spending. The charity which supports children and young people under the age of 26 has warned that without funding, the long-term more young people end up in crisis.
