The COVID pandemic forced high school baseball seasons to be canceled throughout the state in 2020, but the cancellation did not discourage South Shore Christian Academy pitcher Jake Anderson from strengthening his throwing skills last year.
“I would say during the whole COVID thing, I played long toss every day,” said Anderson a right-handed pitcher and recent South Shore Christian graduate. “I started getting stronger and I suddenly realized that I could get hitters out with my fastball which I have not been able to do before and that was great.”
