BURLINGTON – A wreck snapped a utility pole at a Burlington intersection Monday, causing damage requiring extensive repairs that closed the intersection into Tuesday, police said.
Updated: 10:22 PM EDT Jul 16, 2021 WXII12.com Web Staff Officials in Burlington are investigating the cause of a house fire Friday afternoon.Firefighters responded to the 700 block of South Sellars Mill Rd. shortly before 5:00 p.m. and reported smoke coming from the home.The fire was under control in 20 minutes. Preliminary damage estimates total $95,000.Neither anyone in the home nor any firefighters were injured.The Burlington Fire Department says firefighting efforts were made more challenging by the humidity and high temperatures.
